7 Days of Vegan Food

[Music] hey guys and welcome back to a new what I eat in a week video it’s been a while since I’ve done one of these every week looks different of course every day looks different depending on how much I work out that day how I’m feeling how much time I have for cooking some days I do better healthy eating wise some days I don’t but I try and still hope that you can enjoy this video and that you can find this helpful in some way okay let’s get right into it day one is a Tuesday and my day begin with a cup of herbal tea like it pretty much always does for breakfast I decided to have a bunch of fruit so we have apples persimmons which are like the best thing about winter and many many clementines I cut up everything into bite-sized pieces and then sprinkled over some cinnamon I decided to have a lighter breakfast because I knew I was gonna be making this cheesy vegan pasta recipe shortly afterwards the recipe is in my latest video so you can check it out the link is up here and down below oh and in the afternoon I had an apple and more tea and then I went to a coffee shop to get some work done because I need to be around people otherwise I just get distracted for dinner I had two pieces of whole wheat bread a bowl of spinach beans chickpeas cucumber lemon juice and a couple tablespoons of this store-bought guacamole then I went to the cinema to catch fantastic beasts too and I also got to snack on my friend’s vegan popcorn that she brought with her so yeah was a great time onto day to Wednesday [Music] I had this muesli with unsweetened soy yogurt cinnamon and a bit of agave syrup which kind of cancels out the fact that this was unsweetened but anyways also frozen blueberries I had a little bit more muesli which I didn’t end up filming and then for a lunch I made a sandwich to take with me to the library I spread some of the guacamole on both sides added some chopped bell pepper and cress or micro greens whatever those are called I snacked on the rest of the bell pepper and took with me this coconut and peach smoothie from true fruits as well dinner was nothing exciting just a bowl of rice with spinach beans basil lemon juice and hummus also clementines day three was a Thursday I think I got like two hours of Sun that day I started my day off with some hot turmeric water which doesn’t need much explanation and then I added hot water not boiling like I learned from some of you guys in the comments and then I forgot the most important thing which is adding black pepper to it I’m pretty sure that helps you absorb all the health benefits from the turmeric so I don’t know if drinking this did anything but at least it made me feel all warm and cozy which is nice for breakfast I made a little banana and chocolate chip oatmeal cake cuz I just felt like baking first I mashed up one medium-sized banana I added 1/2 a cup of small cut oats baking powder vanilla agave and non-dairy milk but for my best friends that just got in town and then I poured the mix into an ovenproof bowl let it cool off first for like 10 to 15 minutes you can of course eat it straight away from the bowl or if you want to be able to get it out of there then make sure to grease it beforehand with either some vegan butter or coconut oil I added a bit too much of soy yogurt on top also a bit too much of a gobby syrup I also had one Apple on the side for lunch left over at white rice with chickpeas steamed frozen vegetables spinach and this ready-made tomato sauce which I can highly recommend also nutritional yeast after that I made my way to the airport to pick up one of my favorite people from the Netherlands this is Martin we were sitting at each other and it was an awesome flame right once we got back to my apartment we smacked I had one of these dark chocolate covered rice cakes and a few apple slices later in the evening after an intense study and work session we went out to find more food we walked past this burrito place Lisa ordered some chips with guacamole which is basically her favourite food yeah sure of course there you have to throw it away I love so I had a few of those chips and then we got the classic vegan burrito to share it was all right it was a bit too spicy for me because I can just like I can’t handle spice so I give it a 7 out of 10 burrito points we weren’t done with eating yet though later we decided to go to this pizza place called soos I went there once before and they have really good thin crust pizza they even have a second fully vegan menu you can order things such as vegan tuna pizza ours had vegan cheese onions and arugula on it moving on to Friday around mid-morning we went to this coffee shop called sankt over hearts in Mitte even though Lisa visited me to see the city we both had tons of work to do still so he spent all afternoon there but I feel like going to a coffee place in a foreign city is it touristy experience for itself I eventually got hungry and ordered one baked avocado toast then we explored more of the city center it was so cold we then ended up at the only Christmas market that was open that day but since it was a smaller market it was hard to find vegan food there I opted for this peppered pretzel which was okay once we got home I had a small bowl of being and yogurt with clementines and muesli and then we went out again and really late in the evening we walked past this sudanese falafel place and we got one of their wraps to share so this is like a pita bread filled with falafels vegetables lettuce and the peanut sauce which was so good Saturday morning I had a cup or two of chamomile tea Lisa made a breakfast for the both of us so she chopped up an apple two bananas more clementines and then she added vegan yogurt and mealy on top [Music] we had an entire day of walking ahead of us I wanted to show her like all the major sights of the city so we walked alongside the eastside gallery the political district museum Island the Brandenburg Gate checkpoint charlie and all of that Lisa also it was so sweet to make sandwiches for us these are made with pumpkin seed bread hummus spinach and tomato and then for dinner we went out to a vegan Vietnamese place they are all over the city we first got these being filled dumplings to try which were super yummy Lisa got this little pot of mushrooms tofu and veggies and then me tiny compared to these are soba noodles with avocado and vegan chicken skewers even though it was super yummy I was only able to eat like half of this on Sunday morning I was by myself again and this is what I had for breakfast this glass of banana and applesauce with oats and about a teaspoon of this oatmeal spice mix which is basically a blend of almonds cacao cinnamon ginger and vanilla for lunch I had once again another bowl of various ingredients spinach cooked bulgor cherry tomatoes basil roasted cashew nuts nutritional yeast lemon juice and hummus dinner was also very similar kind of so spinach again bulgor chickpeas this time left over at marinara sauce and a bit of leftover at vegan cheese afterwards I wanted to try out some of these organic crispy heart-shaped snacks they are made for babies and they do taste like that they don’t have much flavor but they’re fun to eat honestly last but not least day seven I was craving oatmeal in the morning adding a bunch of ingredients to a small pot a pinch of salt flax seeds vanilla cacao powder coz we’re going for chocolate here and oat milk bring the pot to medium high first then reduce the heat to medium and let everything cook for 8 to 10 minutes whilst stirring frequently I topped up my oatmeal with frozen berries one banana and this dark chocolate spread which I showed you in my recent food haul video check it out link up here and down below in the description this was super yummy and I know this looks like a small bowl but it was super filling I wasn’t hungry again until late afternoon early dinner ish which could also be because I was at the computer all day and kind of forgot to eat yeah that usually doesn’t happen so for a big early dinner I had one roasted sweet potato I then also steamed up one head of broccoli [Music] half of an avocado [Music] my leftover chickpeas hummus and nutritional yeast I also had the rest of the broccoli afterwards and a bit later I ate a banana which I didn’t film and that was it that’s everything I ate and also kind of everything I did this past week leave me a comment down below and tell me what videos you want to see next I kind of have all of the December videos set up already or it planned out but after that I got nothing planned so let me know what you guys want to see for this upcoming year thank you so much for being here I’ll see you soon bye
